Las Vegas T-Hunters get together on the 2nd Saturday of every month for a non-sponsored hunt. Participants must pre-register (between the 1st of the month and one day before) using the form provided below or personally contact Andy, KJ7RFN. Everyone will be notified the day before the hunt, as to whether the hunt will take place. There is a North (City View Park) and a South (Overlook at Inspirada) starting point that will be selected by the “Fox” prior to the hunt. The transmitter beacon goes live at 9am on the day of the hunt.
The rules for hiding the transmitter are as follows:
- Must be able to be received at the starting point
- Same equipment must be used during the hunt from start to finish
- Must remain stationary
The rules for participants are as follows:
- Must meet at the starting point before the starting time to be entered.
- Must report odometer reading to official(s) at the starting point
- Must report odometer reading to official(s) at the endpoint
The “Fox” usually provides snacks and drinks for the hunters at the end of the hunt. A good time is always had by all with a lot of social interactions and Ham Radio talk.
